Why headlights go cloudy
Modern headlight lenses are polycarbonate plastic with a factory UV coating. Sun, road salt, gravel and harsh car wash chemicals wear that coating off over time, and the plastic underneath oxidizes and turns yellow. Once that happens it gets worse every year.
Why it lasts longer when done right
Toothpaste and quick-fix kits can clear a lens briefly, but without a new UV coating the haze comes back fast. We remove the damaged layer completely and apply a protective coating so the lens stays clear longer.
When restoration will not help
