Oil change in Elizabethtown, PA
Fresh oil, a new filter, and a quick look at the rest of the car while it is on the lift. We use the oil grade and viscosity your manufacturer calls for.
Signs it is time
- Oil change or maintenance light on the dash
- You are past the mileage on your windshield sticker
- Oil on the dipstick is dark, gritty or low
- Engine sounds louder or ticks on start-up
- You smell burning oil after driving
Which oil does your car need?
Most cars built in the last fifteen years call for synthetic or synthetic blend oil in a thin viscosity like 0W-20 or 5W-30. Older engines and some trucks run on conventional oil. Engines past about 75,000 miles often do well on a high-mileage formula that helps with seals and small leaks.
We go by your owner’s manual and what the engine is telling us, not by whatever is cheapest on the shelf. If you are not sure what you have been running, we will check and tell you.
How often to change your oil
Follow the interval in your owner’s manual or the car’s oil-life monitor. For many modern cars on synthetic oil that is 5,000 to 10,000 miles. Short trips, towing, dirt roads and Central PA winters all count as severe service and shorten the interval.

More than an oil change
While the car is up we look over the parts that wear quietly: brake pads, tires, belts, hoses, suspension and leaks. You get a straight report of what is fine, what to watch, and what needs attention now. No pressure to fix anything on the spot.

Oil Change FAQ
Do I need an appointment for an oil change?
No. Walk-ins are welcome during shop hours. Booking ahead through our scheduling page or by phone gets you in faster on busy days.
How long does an oil change take?
Most oil changes are done while you wait. Timing depends on how busy the shop is, so call ahead if you are on a tight schedule.
Will a shop oil change affect my new-car warranty?
No. Federal law lets you have maintenance done anywhere as long as the correct parts and fluids are used and you keep records. We give you a receipt with the oil and filter used.
