Flat tire repair and TPMS service in Elizabethtown, PA
A nail, a slow leak, or a tire pressure light that will not go out. We find the cause, repair the tire properly from the inside when it is safe to, and fix the sensor if that is the problem.
Signs it is time
- Tire pressure light on or blinking
- One tire needs air every few days
- A nail or screw visible in the tread
- The car pulls to one side after hitting a pothole
Can my tire be repaired?
A puncture in the main tread area, up to about a quarter inch across, can usually be repaired safely. Damage in the sidewall or shoulder, a cut larger than that, or a tire that was driven flat for a distance generally cannot, because the internal structure is compromised. We take the tire off the wheel and inspect the inside before deciding.
We repair punctures with a combination plug-patch installed from the inside, the method the tire industry recommends. A plug pushed in from the outside is a roadside stopgap, not a permanent fix.
Tire pressure light: leak or sensor?
A solid TPMS light usually means one or more tires is low. Cold mornings drop pressure, so the light often appears with the first chilly week of fall. A light that blinks for a minute and then stays on usually means a sensor has failed or its battery is dead. We test each sensor and replace and program only the ones that need it.
Pothole season
Late winter and spring potholes on Central PA roads bend wheels and cause slow bead leaks. If a tire keeps losing air after a hard hit, we check the wheel for bends and cracks.

Flat Tire Repair & TPMS FAQ
Is a plug safe to drive on?
An outside plug is meant to get you to a shop. A proper repair uses a plug-patch installed from inside the tire after the tire is removed and inspected.
Why does my tire pressure light come on when it is cold?
Air pressure drops as temperature drops. A tire that was fine in September can be low on the first cold morning. Set pressures to the number on your door jamb sticker when the tires are cold.
Can you come to me for a flat?
We do not offer roadside service right now. Put on the spare or call a tow, and bring the car or the flat tire to the shop; most flats are repaired while you wait.
